The Michener Awards Foundation chose Université Laval to offer, for the first time in French and in Quebec, a day of journalism training. The event took place on November 7 to a packed house. In front of an audience of journalism students from the Department of Information and Communication, Michener Award finalists and fellowship recipients recounted their experiences in the profession and discussed new issues relating to artificial intelligence, investigative techniques and the use of scientific journalism studies. The Michener Award is Canada’s foremost journalistic distinction.
